Mechanics: ALC

Academic Learning Centre: Mechanics

What is the Academic Learning Centre (ALC) Mechanics support?

The ALC provide Mechanics drop in sessions. You can call in at any time during the session and the lecturer present will offer support to you in whatever Mechanics module you are studying. The ALC provides a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere in which to discuss Mechanics problems. Also, it is free!  ALC Website

About ALC

D259 : Upstairs in D block at the end of the corridor. (The room with the red blinds!)

You can attend any of the Mechanics sessions at any time during the session. See Timetables for the most up to date timetable. You can stay for 5 minutes or 2 hours or anything in between. It’s up to you.

So how it works is - you bring along your notes, exercise sheets and maybe past exam papers. Ideally if you have tried some questions that would be best, it doesn't matter how much of the question you are able to do. There will be Mechanics people at the ALC sessions to help you. If you are not sure how to get started they should be able to help too.

So what do I need to do to get started? Just call in to any of the Mechanics sessions or to call in to the Academic Learning Centre at any time to discuss what it has to offer you.
